She is a professional Respiratory Therapist and devotes the rest of her waking hours during the week to being a working artist. " I live and breath art, and dream about it when I’m supposed to be sleeping," says Lisa.

Her training is comprised of independent and private study. She admits, "I read everything I can get my hands on that is art related." Lisa is passionate about using bold and vibrant color in her work. Her award-winning pastel and watercolor landscapes have been described as "vivid and expressive." In 2011 she received a Purchase Award in the Old Capitol Art Fair, Springfield, Illinois and 1st Place Fine in Missouri State Fair Art Competition, Sedaliia, MO.
