I've been
working on about a half dozen paintings getting ready for my current exhibit
at Gateway Gallery. I keep reminding myself it's a marathon, not a race. Here
are a few that finally crossed the Finish line. -Garry McMichael
There
is great beauty in everything around us if you take the time to notice
and appreciate it.

McMichael |
For three decades Garry has been traveling the back roads of middle
America, capturing its beauty with the camera, pastels, charcoal and color
pencil. Garry is constantly searching for those fleeting moments when the
atmospheric conditions, the light and mid-America's awesome landscape come
together in a flash of visual inspiration. Whether he portrays the ebb and
flow of the Mississippi River, a quiet walk through the rugged Ozark mountains
or a summer thunderstorm rolling across the Kansas plains you will appreciate
his art. Garry is President of Gateway Pastel Association. |
